Since last week Spring has finally arrived here or shall I say almost summer? 😉 My phone showed sunny sunny 20°C (plus)! Consider that we had some snow-rain with temperature below 0°C during the night time on Easter ! I can not complain even though I have to say that the seasons are getting bit odd over the years. No real distinction between the “classical” four season that I know from my childhood. Anyway, super nice weather to attend the cherry blossom festival at Gardens of the World, which is in the Berlin district Marzahn-Hellersdorf (quite outside from the city centre). Despite its location it was vividly visited. Guess, we were not the only ones having the idea of visiting the cherry blossom festival. Next time I would purchase the tickets online in advance to skip the long queue. Entrance fee was €7 per adult. The park itself is huge, that covers 43 hectares, which is divided into ten traditional themed gardens. We didn’t explore all of their themed this time, only the Asian ones.  Most flowers haven’t started to blossom yet. Hence, the garden itself looks rather green than “colourful”.

The Cherry Blossoms at the Japanese Garden hasn’t really started to blossom yet. The best ones I found was surely hidden in the Korean Garden 😀  The pink rosĂ© of the Cherry Blossom in combination with the blue Sky – simply beautiful to admire 😀 Overall Experience: 8/10 It’s my second visit of the Gardens of the World. It’s obviously a very beautiful park. But surely, I like it much more than the garden is more quieter and not that overcrowded.

Good to know: When you visit the garden, where it held a special “event / festival”, I would recommend to purchase the tickets online. It surely saves a lot of time. Parking there was a bit of a hassle but still worth it consider that this place is a bit far from the city centre. Moreover, bring enough water. There are shops inside the park that sells beverages but a bit overpriced. For us ladies, I would suggest to bring enough tissues with you since some female toilets run out of toilet paper. No wonder with that many visitors.

Time to spend: At least 3-4 hours.
