South America – Roughly Itinerary Plan

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Next month I am finally going to have 2 weeks off in a row from work, which means discovery time for me #yeah 😎 Originally I had Asia in my mind again since I am still impressed from my recent South Asia trip last year. However, I am also intrigued to get to know a new continent and my choice ended up with South America!! I have never been to this continent and there are so many beautiful countries to be visited. I definitely would need more than 2weeks!!

Nevertheless, I try to schedule in as much as I can. Surely, I won’t be able to explore everything into depth as I would personally prefer, but still good enough for having a first impression and if I like it I can always come back 😀

Limiting the countries, where I am going to visit on my first ever South American trip wasn’t an easy decision but Peru, with its Inca Trail, has been always on my top destination list.

There aren’t that many airlines that offers non-stop direct flies to Lima from Europe. Hence, I have decided to fly in to Colombia first, and then fly out from there to Peru before flying back home from Argentina. Below you will find how my current South America itinerary roughly looks like – please feel free to add any suggestions or ideas in the comment section that you think I definitely have to visit or maybe you have a different suggestion on how to travel best from A to B or an accommodation or a restaurant tip 😉

My South America Itinerary is inspired based on the following sources

I am not sure how feasible everything will look like in reality. And since this is my first roughly plan, changes here and there might also be made. I am also bit intrigued to somehow fit in Rio de Janeiro within this trip but then again, my itinerary already looks bit tight and then I don’t think I might enjoy my holiday since it would be just rushing from one place to another.

I will surely post a separate post about my experience after my this trip. So stay tuned.
