Hamburg is a beautiful city for many reasons. One that “highlights” its beauty even more are surely the Inner and Outer Alster Lakes.
Baby J and I are often going for a stroll along the Outer Alster Lake (Außenalster) and doing sailboats watching. Plus, it is a good way to leave the city life behind us for a moment 😀
Since my mum is currently visiting Hamburg, I thought it would be a nice idea to share my favourite walking spots with her. We ended up having lunch at AlsterCliff.
Despite we arrived there on a week-day, this place was very well visited; with the majority of people sitting outside.
AlsterCliff is a bar/ café, that serves European food. They offer a good variety of food from soup & salad till steak & burgers (depending on how big your appetite is).
We both ordered from their special menu, which was asparagus with potatoes (€18.50) add on top the salmon (they charge an additional €11 for that)… … and the one with steak (an additional €12).Quality of the food was good to average. Not specular for the price what they charge. The lovely view towards the Alster Lake, however, make it up.

Overall Experience: 6/10 (Food is not bad but not cheap! But then again for this price you can get even better-quality food at a proper fine dining place (if you know what I mean). You surely pay for the location and to have a nice view of the Alster. Service was so-so; not the friendliest staff working there. Baby friendly? I would say okayish. I don’t think I would come here in the late afternoon with Baby J once this place turns more into a “bar place” and gets noisier)
