WOW, how fast time goes. It’s been at least one year since my last visit to this little Vietnamese place. Bit of Déjà Vu… I love Asian cuisine, and Vietnamese food is my third favourite after Chinese and Japanese cuisine. Surely, I also do like Thai food, Korean food among others… However, I can’t eat too spicy.

Minh-Trang is located in the Berlin district Charlottenburg. From outside this place doesn’t look very impressive, even the decoration inside is pretty simple compare to some recently opened Vietnamese restaurants, where everything has to look stylish and colourful such as District Mot or Cô Chu.

However, never judge a book by its cover! 😉  Apparently, this place serves the best Phô in town. Besides their famous Phôs, their menu also offers a variety of different Vietnamese food to choose from.

We started off with some yummy prawn summer rolls and Tom Kha Gai (coconut chicken soup)

Before our main dishes arrived 😀

Peanut and coconut milk with bell pepper, carrots, broccoli, bamboo shoots with tender sliced chicken & rice

Chicken Noodle Phô

Beef Noodle Phô

I have to say in terms of authentic Vietnamese food, this place does a pretty good job and that for a reasonable price. It’s surely on my list of re-visiting, beside Saigon Today (another secret place of mine) 😀

Side Note: As you might have noticed from my restaurant review about Suno Sushi & Noodles, it seems currently in trend (I can only speak for Berlin) to see Vietnamese places offering Japanese food (mostly Sushi) as well and vice versa. And so does Minh-Trang, I would however advice to skip the sushi rolls here and go for their phô, where you can get a giant bowl of noodle from only €6.50 🙂

Overall Experience: 8/10
