There is no better way to start the weekend off with some delicious Dim Sum. We went to Oriental City, which is located in the centre of Amsterdam. The restaurant has three floors and they surely need that space (or maybe even more). We went there around 1.5h later after their actual opening time and were already asked to wait.
The staffs were very friendly and like in many Asian restaurants, service is quick. Despite that the restaurant was completely full that day, we didn’t have to wait long for our food to arrive. Beside their Dim Sum menu, which has a huge selection to choose from, guests also have the option to choose from the “normal” menu, which I might try next time for dinner *hihi*
The good thing about their menu is that it is written in Chinese and English, and there is even a picture of each dish. So, if you are unfamiliar with the dish name and unsure what to order, then just pick the food by the picture 😉
Since this was our “super later” breakfast, we ordered a lot 🙂 Bon AppetitSteamed Ricesheet Rolls filled with Chicken and Chinese ChivesChinese Prawn on Toast with SesameFried Cake of Squid PateSiu Mai
Steamed Dumplings stuffed with Prawns, Meat, Peanuts and Salted Turnip
Steamed Rice Flour Dumplings stuffed with Prawns and Bamboo Shoots
My all time favourite Dim Sum dish Xiao Long Bao (Steamed Buns stuffed with Minced Meat and Vegetables)
We surely ordered waaay too much food. I was so full afterwards but full of energy to explore Amsterdam, so stay tuned! 😀
