After hours of walking in Sanssouci Park we were thirsty and hungry.
We opted for Italian food since C is a huge pasta fan. Assaggi is supposed to be the “best” Italian place in Potsdam.
The location of the restaurant is perfect. On the main pedestrian route into the Sanssouci Park.
C went for Linguine with fresh mussel, while I tried their gnocchi special with parmesan.
The food arrived nicely and in good portion.
Where C’s food was nice and fresh prepared, mine was way too over salted!! 😕 I mentioned that to the waiter and he said, maybe because of the parmesan mixed with sundried tomatoes and the sauce. I do understand that parmesan tastes naturally bit salty but mon dieu – aren’t chefs supposed to taste the food before serving it to their guests? I surely didn’t like my food – so much that I even skipped my dessert at that place 🙁
Staffs were nice but way to understaffed. We had to wait basically for everything to arrive. Plus, our drinks came wrong.
Overall experience: 4.5/10 (only because C’s food was nice)
