C visited me over the weekend. I like Berlin but like the majority of other cities – summer/ spring time is the best – simply there are more choices of (outdoor) activities to do. After a few thoughts in terms of what to do this weekend… I decided to take him for ice-skating #yeah I normally try to go ice skating at least once per year. Surprisingly last year I didn’t even go at all.
In Berlin, there are a few ice skating places, but my all-time favorite is the Horst-Dohm Eisstadion in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf area. I also learned how to ice-skating in this stadium back then (many many years ago obviously) ^_^
Nothing has really changed over the years, apart from the prices – but still very acceptable. Current entrance fee for entering the stadium is €3.30 for adult (€1.60 for youth) and skate hire for 2h was €9 per person. The stadium has two rink areas – a “small inner fenced” and a 400metres outer rink.
I had super fun time – didn’t even fall at all, and it was surely worth a visit after such a long MIA 🙂
